23’-24’ FCSC Board

  • Jennifer - President

I am a military brat — born in Hawaii to an RF-4 pilot. My dad retired from the Air Force out of Bergstrom AFB in Austin, TX when I was 5, and my mom had a job in one of the top public school districts in the country. I graduated from Westlake High in 2001, then went to UT Austin where I majored in English and minored in UTeach. I did a focused Shakespeare study at Oxford, taught stateside, had spine surgery, then made my way back to the UK to teach at Medway Community College.

After moving back to the states, I met a man who I would marry 11 months later and two days before a 12 month deployment. After 9-10 months home and another deployment, we moved to Quantico for 11 months for the Marine CCC; then on to Ely, UK for two years; Fort Leavenworth, KS for 11 months; Wheeler AAF, Hawaii for two years; Wiesbaden, Germany for 3.5 years; then to Fort Campbell for 2.5 years come May.

I have six school-teaching certifications and eight fitness certifications. I enjoy learning new things, overcoming challenges, and making friends with those who think I’m funny. I believe that if you have the capacity and ability to help, why would you not?

  • Chrissie - Vice President

There is nowhere in the world I'd rather be than right here where I am. I say that everywhere we go...and I firmly believe there is beauty and adventure if you just look for it. As an Army brat and now wife to an Army pilot, I've lived across this great nation and around the world. I couldn't pick a favorite place any more easily than I can pick a home state, but I'll claim Virginia as that's where I was born and attended undergrad.

I am a fierce advocate for inclusion, empowering underserved communities and uplifting our military families. I am a consummate optimist, seeing life’s challenges as opportunities for growth, and always finding a silver lining. Whether traveling, reading, listening to live music, adventure racing, or raising our 5 kiddos, I like to think I bring fun and a spirit of service to everything I do. My passion for our community fuels my desire to foster connections and empower other spouses wherever the wind blows me.

I attended James Madison University for undergrad, was a Tri-Sigma there and attended American University where I got a Master's Degree in Statistics and Program Evaluation. I currently work as a VP of Digital Strategy. And, I am married to the love of my life, Nick.

In my spare time, I love watching my son and daughter play sports and watch football with my husband. When I have free time to myself I love to disappear into a book! I absolutely love to get lost in my imagination.
